L-system-based Behavioral Animation

چکیده
This paper discusses the use of vector force fields and synthetic vision for animation purposes in a L-system environment. The L-system is a timed and parameterized production system with conditional and pseudostochastic productions and turtle interpretation. In particular, an appropriate vector force field modeling allows physical simulation and/or behavioral group animation of objects generated by the L-system. In addition, interactions between branching structures (plants) and with force field equipped actors is possible. The introduction of synthetic vision, permits high level turtle control, representing a vision guided autonomous and intelligent actor. Some modeling and animation examples are presented.
